Our work spans a range of sectors and issues but is consistently rooted in our values of integrity, equity, trust, & justice. We offer Life and Career Coaching, Re-Creating Democracy Programming, & Racial & Social Justice Workshops. We specialize in working with multi-racial and multi-ethnic folks. RE-CREATING DEMOCRACY
This citizen engagement project was designed by Rubicon IFI to help people take back our democracy. It is evident that the current system is not working, nor can modifications to this system return power back to the people. What we need is transformation. The Love in Action Program consists of 3 programs outlined below.
New Way for Elections - This program consists of voter engagement tactics designed to help put democracy back in the hands of the American people. It includes a comprehensive platform consisting of campaign finance reform, term limits, guidelines for democratic caucusing and a lobby and party free political system.
Citizen Engagement - The Citizen Engagement Program is designed to provide popular education to citizens about injustice and inequality of the current election system. Through the Love in Action Newsletter, we call out examples of fraud, cronyism, and other evils. Information about protests, community events and educational opportunities will also be shared.
Liberation Theology - Is an attempt to get churches and other religious and spiritual organizations involved in social programs and local community issues. In this workshop, organizations create socio-economic programs to decrease the burdens of individuals who can't fully participate in everyday activities. It includes 3 phases of development; 1) education lectures to increase engagement, 2) support to develop programs, and 3) planning guidance to raise and distribute funds that can enhance and transform lives.
RACE & SOCIAL ACTION WORKSHOPS
Humanity is struggling to address the gravity of our inhumanity. With all these issues, Rubicon attempts to educate individuals and organizations how to bring about a more inclusive society where we engage in right relationships that allow everyone to thrive.
Our customized workshops allow individuals to explore their beliefs in a safe and supportive environment. Our goal is not to preach or blame, but to help you see other points of view. finding my biological father and his family, challenging my own beliefs about Antiracism, white supremacy and how best to collaborate with white folks.
